Always nice to get out for a hunt. Your mystery piece is a sickle bar mower blade.

welcome to the forum diggerkid. you're about the same age as I was when I started detecting, but that was 40 years ago. it's an excellent hobby and I hope you stick with it. Don't get discouraged when you don't find much. I always found that the forums helped keep me interested when I would get kinda bummed out about not finding much good stuff. Keep on diggin' and postin'!

Welcome to TNET and the greatest hobby around. I started swinging a detector at the same age as you. Good luck and go every chance you can because every time you go you will learn a little bit more and before long you will have some great finds.
