My friend and I have been hunting a farm that was homesteaded in the early 1800's and has the man made iron deposits to back it up. The place has never given up more than 1 or 2 goodies in a hunt but when it does its always a surprise. After a couple of hours hunting and pulling up several buttons, pieces of horse tack, an unbroken reins guide, I finally found my first coin at the edge of the garden. It took a minute to get it clean enough to make out any detail but eventually this tell tail number 5 emerged to let me know I had my first Shield Nickle. My buddy was really kicking dirt after that because he and his 4.0 XP Deus had just left the area a few minutes earlier. He went home with a single wheat penny.
