...but not silver either. A solid roll of wheaties!
Didn't order halves this week, so after work today I picked up several CWR's of pennies, to supplement my weekend dimes and nickels. Some of the cents were in Cointainers, and on the end of one I saw what looked like a really old date - 1920. Turned out every coin in the roll was wheat, the oldest of which was 1944. The breakdown was as follows:
1916-D
1917
1918 x 2
1919 x 3
1920 x 2
1925
1926
1929-D x 2
1934
1935 x 2
1936
1937
1938
1940
1941 x 2
1941-D
1942 x 2
1942-D
1944 x 5
1944-S x 2
and a whopping 17 x 1944-D!
Many of them are in great condition, but unfortunately the 1916-D has a gouge through the date.
As a bonus, one of the other cent rolls had an almost uncirculated 1943 zinc cent, and I found 4 silver Rosies and a 1944-P war nickel, all out of less than $100 face!
Hope your weekends are fruitful!
