1909 V-Nickel. I know it's not much, but it's a first and a long time coming. Lol So here it is and some other goods.

That's a good find. I still haven't found one in 30 years. Crazy how they can hide.

Love the dog license! Looks like you're hunting a park with a nice sharp bladed lawn mower! :laughing7:

2 V-Nickels in quick succession! Nice finds Truth,it's very cool when that older copper-ish stuff pops up. If more people dug lower conductors we would be seeing those 1 dollar and 1/4 Eagles more often but with today's trash it's hard to bring yourself to go there. Finding old sites with a minimum of new trash is what I've been trying to do. If you're finding those Vees you're in good territory!

IDX I'm at the oldest park in New Orleans, City Park, is huge oak tress. Oldest being upwards of 800 years old. But yes there is trash, but I use that 5 x 8 coil on my AT Pro and it helps. Those two both hit at a solid 53. The 45's for Gold are my backbreakers.

Nice old nickel. I have only found a few, and none in that good of condition. Congrats.

Awesome find! I hope to add one to my collection some day. Many more chunks of foil are all that's between me and my first one.

Terry that's what I was thinking. I've been back twice and haven't found anything more than a 54 Wheatie. Ugggh MD'ing humbles me all the time.
