I made this about 8 years ago , yesterday I took it for it's first test run . It was very windy , I think I was going about 30 - 35 mph . It passes the stress test , but , I lost a cotter pin that holds the front blade on , thankfully the steering linkage held the blade in place long enough for me to safely stop .
I would of had a picture of me on it , but by the time girlfriend got the camera ready I was a tiny dot half-way across the lake . It was a blast !

Too bad you couldn't have made it up here to Dillon Reservoir this year. They had a stretch when there wasn't snow on the ice (unusual for here) and those ice boat guys made the most of it.

Really nice! I especially like the junk-design sail. Never saw one like that. Guys used to race them years ago on Lake Winnebago in Wisconsin. They were fun to watch. I'm sure they still do it.
