My mug holding some Atocha silver

Here I am in the Mel Fisher Lab at Key West holding a silver brick found at the Atocha site, I myself found some encrusted barrel straps, a steel spike and some pottery shards on the eight dives I took off the Dare. What a fantastic experience to actually find something from 400 years ago that was on a treasure galleon.

Good show, I tried to get into that but I was 2k short, now I'm totally broke.

I found out about this trip 8 days before 'day 1'. Since it was during the oil spill in the gulf I just went for it....no one knew if the spill was going to be contained. I'm glad I did. I was a great time with very nice people from the fisher group and the rest of the divers. My buddy Steve found two silver coins. Here's a picture of me with some Atocha gold found previously.
