Very nice find. The symbol on your buckle is the "Fleur De Lis" There are a few different meanings that pertain to it. If you start a google search you can look into it.

Dear all,

I got myself a Nox800 for christmas. I've been out 2 times 2 hours each and found a coin 2 Reichspfennig 1875 one coin 1 Silbergroschen 1827 my hunting buddie's lost golden wedding ring and a buckle. Does anybody know what kind of buckle this is? (I should mention that I live in Germany)

what area of germany did you find it in.

That's a Boy Scout buckle in the USA. Do you have scouts there in Germany?

I found it in the area of Lindlar which is close to Gummersbach / Overath / Engelskirchen

many thanks for the advice it shure looks like a Boy Scout buckle. I found it in the same Location where I found the 1 Silberpfennig coin 1827 and almost as deep. It must have been there for quiete a while. I know that there have been French soldiers in the area and the spot I'm hunting there was some kind of a fort or other Military Installation. Nothing left though but those finds will make me go back there. It is a cattle grasing ground now but in the past it could have been used as a field and get plowed. So everything is pretty deep down now. I will start roaming the woods close to that spot. Maybe there is more maybe not as deep?
