This is one of my finds from my last hunt, with MikeWaz and Twistidd. It was burried about 8 inches and was under a big rock out in the woods. Its an axe with a hammer on the back side. I found it in the same area that MikeWaz found the Barber dime. I guess an old fur traders bracelet was also found in the same area a few years ago. Any idea on the age? This is my 3rd axe head I found this year.

Hit it with electrolysis and see if theres a makers mark. Some of those old ones are worth a little. 8)

Nice find. I have never seen one with a hook on the end. Like they say. Electrolysis will do a good job on it.

I found one of those last weekend in a site that was producing items ranging from the 1850's through the early 1900's.Mine had the axe part broke off though.
