The spot I've gone to several times now has such a variety, and I'm still not done with it! Today I got my 1st gold ring, a big ol' 10K class ring. Also got first copper-nickel Indian Head (pretty sure it is, feels thicker and heavier than regular one but I can't make out date. Reverse is in good shape but front is toasty.) Also found an early Scovill great seal button, some 3-ringers, a brass handle , an RFD (Rural Free Delivery) postal lock and some other whatsit.

Some plated old silverware, what I assume is a broken stirrup, a broken cap gun, and a broken Hubley fire engine circa 1949. Plus a bunch of other stuff not pictured, including a handful of wheaties. Thanks for looking and happy hunting!

Funny you should ask, WHADIFIND. It was a big signal, I cut a plug and found a big brass (modern) something-or-other. Then I rechecked the hole and still had a signal, though a queiter one. And there it was. I think I said, "Oh man!" and sat down for a minute.

Those are what I call trash can lid hits. They tend to knock the headphones off ones' head. LOL

I love 'em! People with discriminators say nah, too big. Then move on. My BIGGEST gold ring was one of those. It looked like someone had taken a one ounce ball of gold and drilled a hole through it for the finger. (Naval Academy Grad ring I think. It was too long ago). Also, it was 18 kt gold! LOL

Love those BIG hits!

HH!

Nope, no ID on the ring. Just BALFOUR 10K (Balfour being the maker).

Maybe I can send BALFOUR an email and point them toward this thread. Maybe they could help figure out who's the owner. ;) LOL

Nice!
