Hit a site yesterday way out in middle of bean field.Dug my oldest coin,an 1837 Large Copper and a very cool 1867 Indian with a star carved in both sides...Is this counter stamped?

I wouldn't call the star a counterstamp. More than likely someone with some spare time on their hands.

That 'star' coin had me going for a while; thought it was a valuable 1867 Silver 3-cent piece.......before I counted the star points.
