Looks like I may not be doing this anytime soon' Going to miss my boat as well as my detecting here! 8), but I have had a lot of good memories with the boys when they were young..THAT IS WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT IN LIFE! Enjoy them while you can guys and girls, before they get older and into girls / boys, cars and all the other things that Mon and Dad just don't understand! ;D

Hi Dave...I enjoyed the pics...spent 2 years on Okinawa in the early 70s living near Kadena AFB..my son was born there.We lived next to a Kobe steak house in Ernie Pyle apartments.
I'm sure it has changed a lot in 30 years, but I have wonderful memories of the island,the people,the cookies with peanuts and the seaweed covered rice with something in the middle :)

I'd love to hear from you if you would be willing to share info about Okinawa now....if you did, I'd say you were ichiban...(is that right?)
