my pottery

here is a bunch of pottery I found laying on top of the dirt where they wer digging out to put in a water line, they were digging out a few hundred yards long and it was about 15 feet from the old erie canal, there were actually more pottery but I was a few hundred yards from my truck, no trees and it was HOT and I was getting weighed down pretty good by the pottery and glass, here are the best pieces.

also a strange rock i found there.... craziest looking rock I ever seen.

dmc guy, I dont have a clue about pottery but for some reason I have started collecting broken pieces of it every time I find any and actually enjoy looking at it, i know it is old but dont know how old, I didnt even know you could date pottery??
