Parker & Karns City - Allegheny Valley. The Parker & Karns City RR was a small railroad that operated from 1873 to 1881 during the Pennsylvania oil boom. I have been told this is probably very rare and possibly the only one in existence.

Can some old soldier's Dog Tag Chain be classified into this?
You might want to start a new thread for those. Dog Tags and Baggage Tags are two totally different things.

Wish I could join this thread. I would love to find a R.R. Baggage tag. I have found 2 Railroad padlocks and a Lackawana Railroad token, but no baggage tag.

I know a lot of people on T-net have found RR Baggage Tags. I'm surprised more haven't been posted here.

Beautiful tags, everyone!! Great finds.

Bought on ebay:

Your tag is related to this tag that I dug up near lake Springfield (a few yards from where the avatar trime was found).
Yazoo & Mississippi Valley Railroad. The logo dates 1896-1923.

I found my very first baggage tag yesterday 4/24/2021. It was found at a long defunct station east of town. The lettering says "Santa Fe Route", and the tag number.
