Got the silver from one community sale and a few little extra items the one I'm having problems with is the bronze plate engraving can anybody recognize the scene

A sterling silver flower vase? Wow, some great finds at that community sale! Never seen a vase like that one! Awesome finds.

Very nice finds. The plaque is from an original painting called the death of General Robert E Lee. The wife was replaced with an angel.

I see the painting that you are referring to that this was taken off of but I can't seem to find another one like this do you have any references of one or links to one that is like it be greatly appreciated thank you

I like that bronze plaque. You can't find any initials or anything on it anywhere? You've checked it with a loupe? I searched the other night for a similar and couldn't find one.

Artist was Étienne-Victor Exbrayat (1879-1914), a French sculptor. The medal is entitled Medicina and depicts a nursemaid with a dying man on the obverse and the sun rising behind a fountain with the snake of Asclepius on the reverse.

OH WOW! I had to moan and laugh out loud. Great finds! I can't help but like your photography and lighting. The pieces look as though it's a scene from "Raiders of the Lost Ark"!!!

Those kinds of finds get you up early on the weekends!
