Hey Ya'll. :hello2:

Havent posted in awhile..But thought I would post this, since its my Second oldest coin found so far. Went out with a buddie of mine today to an old piece of property that had a old home on it at one time.. Pretty cool place, had the old rock chinmey still there...Well.. didnt find many coins there, he found a wheatie, and found alot of old iron pieces but we ended up leaving and heading out searching for a place in this town. Ended up at this park that seemed old but wasnt sure. We were there about 15 minutes when i got a shallow quarter signal..Wasnt expecting much at all since it was only about 2 inches deep....Popped out the plug..and saw that Beautiful Rim :icon_thumleft: I ran over to my buddie with the plug and said "You think thats Silver?"..When I pulled it out I was happy because I knew it wasnt a Washington..I Rinsed it off and saw the "1898" .. Freakin AWESOME!!..This is my second oldest Coin Ive ever found..Ironically my top "3" oldest coins found are all Barber Quarters :dontknow:

But Im on Cloud 9..This was number 6 for the year and I'm ready for some more!!!

Oh and also..I never rubbed this coin at all..When I rinse it, it had scraches on the front...I guess this things are sensitive just picking them up

Man, that thing is scratched more than I thought with the closeup pics. Still, was jealous when you found it, lol. Great find.

Who cuts your hair? (cheese-like reference) You'd be suprised how much a 100+ y.o. coin moves around in the earth. I've dug lots of scratched silver. Congrats!
