My design is extremely simple, removing objects or prospecting for black sand. My device consists of a light-weight 12v gel cell battery and an extremely powerful, but light, waterproof electromagnet. No crushed fingers, cuts or bruises. Mine lifts about 55kg / 121 lbs., more in the water. Try one of the online stores for what suits your needs. Using a permanent magnet near a cell phone may be a hazard to your data, same goes for the emf produced by an electromagnet.
