i know they are small so don't laugh..i found these a couple weeks ago in a river that everyone said had 0% gold in it i found more black sand than anything but Gold is Gold and i am super happy with my firs find. not bad for using my home made sluice box. i have a few other areas that i know have good Gold i will be exploring them soon Wish Me Luck:thumbsup:

Is it my screen or are those silver in color?

A few of them look a lot like mica to me.

Yeah I see that too. Could be mercury coated. Although if people told him the place didn't have gold I'm guessing it didn't have much of a mining background.. Could be mica. Don't think I've ever found mica before is it breakable? Golden put it back in your pan and press on the flakes with some tweezers. If they don't break it's most likely gold.

it is the angle and flash of my camera that makes the silver look sorry bout that but i am 100% sure it is gold

here is a flake i caught today got pics of it in the vial and on a piece of paper with a circle around it and a zoomed in pic to see it better :)
