so today i ran to a new spot but alas. it was a parking lot, i was to late :( so i backtracked to the honey hole. well today was a great day. with the help of some much needed rain. found a old ring, and managed my third CW button this year. and it was a I button. ( second I in the collection ) 1919, 1920, 1948, 1953 Wheat's. 1928d Buff. 1942p, 1945p War nickles. 1946, 1964 Rosie. 1917, 1944 Merc. 1896 Ih. and my very first LARGE CENT 1856!!!!!!!!! ( never thought i would find one ) best of digs to all MR TUFF

Congrats on your first Large Cent! When I got my first metal detector in 1985 I wanted to dig a large cent really bad. My brother borrowed the metal detector (his first time with it) and went and dug a large cent. It then took me several years to find my first!

congrats on your first large cent. It's a spectacular feeling seeing that large disc pop our of the dirt!

Would you pass on your first large cent if your coin could have been a same year 1856 Flying Eagle cent? ;D
