I left the house and went to a nearby Vocational School for a little peace and quite even though it was 34 deg. outside. The first hit I got was special to me because it is the biggest coin spill I have ever dug. Nothing great, all Lincoln pennies, no wheat or shield. I believe someone maybe dumped then out of an ashtray. They were all within a foot of the curb of the school parking lot. I started out with a plug and the hole just keep getting deeper and wider. Seventeen pennies in the same hole lol, a record for me.

My wife can see on the horizon when I'm starting to get a little grumpy...so she hands me my gloves, my pouch and gives me a little pat on the rear as she scoots me out the door with machine in hand...works both ways! Lol...Ddf

Being a woman this thread cracked me up! I know when I want to just get some peace & quiet I now go detecting myself. Gets me away from my wonderful other half. We all need time away from our loved ones. Kids, spouse, girl/boyfriend, whatever. I get into a "zen" sort of state when detecting. All alone in my little beeping world.

Great to hear from the Bosses of the world . I learned a long time ago (I have been married to my wife 45 years) that there are two kinds of men, you have the ones that admit their wife is the boss, then you have the lairs. I admit to knowing nothing, if you don't believe me ask my wife.
