My years end

Some have wondered where Ive been - because I have not post any hunts or finds of late
as of last night - ive been working 37 days straight without a day off - with the unseasonal
warm weather - I was hoping to get out a few more times - but not to be
so here are a few pics of my years keepers - I got into the water only about 41 times this year
but I got silver and/or gold just about every time out except once - there is some silver jewelry
and some silver coins missing - I put them on loan with a bunch of relics found in and around
Cape Cod waters to a museum that is doing a display soon on "Treasures from the seas"
I did ok for the time I did put in - I made a few "first" this year - 1st large cent found in water (ended up with 2)
- 1st 2 cent piece found in water to mention a few. Had a great year for silver halves - 11

Ive been in their catalog the last 2 yrs - but have never received anything from them but thanks (I know that my posts - articles and few vids have helped them sell more than a few of for them)
- one of their people did offer me a hat and shirt the other day
I don't push my machine on anyone like others do . I rarely mention what I use unless asked - all I'll say is about 90%+ of these finds were made from spots that Excal users hit or hit in the past and thought were cleaned out - I hit in all metal 98% of the time - so would not push my machine on anyone unless they are going to hunt the way I do - I know my machine and what it can and cant do and use it to the best I can in the places I can.

It all adds up to some very impressive totals for the year. Congrats on the haul that you amassed Casper, I'm sure that knowing one's machine and sticking to a spot has a lot to do with what you have found. Very nice!

I will usually average about 5-6 haves from the water - usually getting out twice as much
many of these were down close to 2 feet in saltwater sands - at spots that get hammered
so they were missed by others- got to go for the whisper signals

Agreed... Wish I took pics of all my finds I have sold and scrapped over the years.

Wish I took pics of my early years especially.
My Avatar is the only picture of me with Mels stuff... and only have that due to my mother or father...
do not even know which of them took that picture.
In fact... did not even know I owned it till after they passed and was going through old photos.

In those days no one took pictures... heck most did not even own a camera.

I have tried going all metal in the waters by me; but, the CZ drives me nuts with all the small metal targets it picks up...don't get me wrong (especially little bits of copper wire), I love that it hits the smallest targets deep, just gets a bit tiring checking each one. I'm guessing there is just that much more garbage down by me. I do pretty decent with just keeping it in Discrim 1; but, no where near your totals. Seeing your totals though may just nudge me enough to give all metal another try next weekend if I go out.
