My Wife & I are heading for Myrtle Beach in October. I will be using an older Garrett XL 500, Seahunter Pulse detector. Would there be anything left in the beach in October?
We will be staying at around 16th ave. N. Is that a good area of the beach for successful hunting Also, should I use the smaller or larger coil?

these are the bestest goodies I dug out of the mine @ Myrtle Beach this past July 4th week. By the way, I own a Garrett XL500 Sea HUnter too. But those finds were with my Minelab Excalibur1000. You should be able to find plenty if you search a popular beach. I stayed in the Ocean Lakes Campground (rented home) and did pretty well. These pics are just the good stuff minus coins of which there were plenty.

If there has been some sand pulled out buy a storm Oct could be great as the beach has been filling in at Myrtle alot this summer.

My wife and I will also be in MB late Oct/early Nov, so glad to see this post. Nice to get tips from some folks who know the area.

BTW, Swanee (different spelling) was the school/sports nickname for me, my dad and now my son

Will be RVing enroute to Florida for Thanksgiving with family.
