Need some help please, I went out for an hour the other day with a mate, had a good signal at top or field, dug about 1.5 feet down and about 4-5 feet in length, found a heavy object in the ground, about 5 inches wide with what looks like a rim or collar on one end and seems to have a hollow through it.rough in appearance, looks heavy and we didnt expose full depth as want to check with farmer first. looks like its been there a long time, scraped bit of corrosion off dark green colour with a yellow crust on it ....any ideas? will go back next week to get it out , but any thoughts welcome.gave a really strong signal on my 3mx with discrim on full.Im thinking if not a tractor part, could be a part of carriage or something , this is a roman and pre roman area plus cromwell came through.......prob nowt but just checking.....
