Mystery jewlery piece and a larg cent

I recently recovered these 2 items from 2 different homesteads long gone. The largie came out surprising well with just a peroxide bath. The jewlery item though is another story, i have only rinsed it with baking soda mixture. There appears to be some sort of steam ship on it. Ot shows very faintly. I not sure what type of metal it is. So im at a stand still on how to get some more detail from it

You found a very nice largie,and I hope someone can give you some advise on getting more detail.I have many tokens which I would like help with.
 

There are some very fine old dirty pennies being posted today. This one here is a peach!
