Ive always wanted to sample the sands there, im sure you know about the color being found and I hear there is a ledge somewhere around there that is a source supposedly.. Curious to hear what comes of the samples you took.
No,actually never heard of any SF gold. Got a link to the story?
So I bring back a plastic cup full of the scraped black sand. Panned a large tablespoon nice and slow. And Bubkiss....... oh well. First 2 shots are Ocean Beach sand and the next 2 are American river sand. There is a noticeable difference even though it is slight. Not sure what it means but, in theory the material from Ocean Beach would originate in the Sierra mountains? ..
