Hi all,
A friend told me about a rock her family found when they dismantled the stone foundation of an old tool shed on their home site. She wondered if it could be Native American. I told her I would post it here to see what you guys thought. These are the best pics she sent me.

TIA and HH,

Kinda looks like a stone ET with a loopy eye...

I suspect its a natural stone and not an artifact.

See a lot of these in streams and beaches.

That's an Omarolluk, or Omar for short. Check it out.

Thanks for the help quito and stefen!
So no real value to them? Wikipedia says: Glaciers moved omars from the southeastern part of Hudson Bay to central Canada and into the U.S. where they were deposited on moraines. Because scientists know precisely where they came from they are very valuable in documenting the movement of glaciers.

I appreciate your help. I've had a bit of Geology back in the day and can honestly say I've never heard of these. :dontknow:
