What kind of detector are you using? seems like you should have found more than just one penny in 2 hours...I usually spot more than that just laying on top of the ground when detecting....and my eyes suck!...lol :tongue3:

Oh it's a cheap radioshack detector. Don't get me wrong, we got PLENTY of beeps, but they were all rusty nails, bottle caps, and pull tabs. As we were leaving another person showed up with a detector. I'm just suggesting that NAD is pretty well picked over.

If I find a penny up here in Washington, I am very happy... I moved on to coin roll hunting and have found better success.

I did find a 10k gold oddfellow's pendant behind the Grant St. School in Port Townsend though, some ten years ago, but I gave it away to my uncle, who is an oddfellow.

Funny thing is that I started out with an expensive detector and was not doing to well with it. I went to Harbor Freight and got the $45 detector and the $13 pin pointer. I like all the features and it has a threshold like the high end detectors.
Only been out twice with and and finding tons of stuff. Even though most of it has been junk so far. I've only gone to 2 places and found dimes at 12". so far so good. Need to get some of the wireless headphones and a detecting buddy?
