Native Leatherman?

Hey all, thought I'd share this with you. A friend of mine lent me this piece to try and figure out what it's used for. When he handed it to me my first thought was multi-tool. One side has a fairly fine edge, the other a serated one, and on what I'm calling the top edge a nice round(convex) cutting surface(third pic). I haven't had a chance to put it under the scope yet, and really don't know what I'm looking for if I do. If you have any ideas let me know( about it's uses or what to look for under scope?).
The Stripers are starting to show up here (and the summer folks ) so I am going to start to have a hard time chosing between fishing and headin'. Most of the places I look the summer folk don't like people lurking around (I feel ya trev). The "island" I live on (Chappaquidick) is now officialy an island again.
