I've put it in my 'favorites' for later. I'll certainly check it out. I spent quite a bit of time yesterday on TexasEscapes.com. Some very interesting reading. I was born and raised in Hillsboro, moved to Waco in 1979, then, here to Idaho in 2007. I worked on the service station (now just gas station!) equipment all over from Bryan-College Station to Dallas and from Burnett to Crocket area from about 1985 until I retired in 2004. I've been in quite a few of the 2940 towns TexasEscapes.com has listed. My wife was born in Hamilton, moved to Blanton in 1955(?) and to Hillsboro where I met her in 1962.
Pretty interesting stories SallySue. It was also nice meaning you and Chad at. Temple lake park. All I found was 1.08 in clad and about 100 pull tabs, a 22 short brass, lead worm weights and a large 3 inch washer along with lots of hooks and lines as well as bottle caps and can slaw. But still had a good day. Liked talking with you as well and enjoyed the stories.
