Not to be Capt. Obvious, but it appears to be a pin of the Niagra Bowler's Association tournament from Feb 25th to March 18th of either 1911 or 1917 - can't read the date. Appears it may be silver - you should test it for that. A fine piece regardless - congrats!

Hey Big Daddy !!! I got lucky & found this link !! It appears that the 5th annual tournament of the National Bowling Association (N.B.A.) was held in Buffalo N.Y. from February 25th to March 18th in 1911. The medal looks like it was made by a manufacturer in Attleboro Massachusetts. Balfour, a maker of college, high school class rings & sports championship rings & medals started in Attleboro in 1913. Your medal predates Balfour by 2 years, but maybe the people that made that medal were the craftsmen from Attleboro hired by Mr. Balfour when he opened up his "facility".
"These issues drove Mr. Balfour to establish his own company, and he founded the L.G. Balfour Company on Friday, June 13, 1913. The business grew from a small nucleus of skilled craftsmen led by Mr. Balfour in a facility in Attleboro, Massachusetts."

Very cool! I like how the bowling ball looks like a skull on it's side at first. Ghetto Nectar is always great!
