UPDATE; REPAIR DONE!

Thanks to some great advice, I managed to repair the hairline cracks with the glue / acetone solution.

I did a test run on an old jar and was surprised how well it worked and the "residue" left in the bottom of my mixing cup showed me how well it would set.

the bottle is still intact and hopefully will last. I don't think and serious collector would be to happy with my DIY repairs but it'll do for me and my display!

The cork came out too, so I can display with cork in the top!
