Do you require Galveston Port entrance or Galveston Bay ?
Do you have any SID Software ? (Mapviwer or Geo viewer) orArc view etc ?
I can send you the following dates now:
1853
1855
1856
1857
1867
1885
1890
1897
1898
and many in the 1900's

Unfortunatley I cant let out some of the in between dates as I have some areas I wish to persue further myself. The 1800 and 1812 maps I only have one copy and they have not been scanned as of yet but If I see nothing of any major intrest I will let you have a copy.

I need prior to 1818. A major Hurricane wiped out the island in 1818 so I would prefer prior to then. Yes I have a map viewer. I can also download any specific view I might need. If it helps any Galveston was actually called Campeche, not Galveston at the time. Thanks for any of the help.

I will let you know on the 1800 and 1812 maps I have I will try and scan them this week, let me know if you wish a copy of any of the other dates I provided.
In the mean time try the Galveston Bay Information Centre (Contact the Information Center at (409) 740-4703 to set an archival research appointment) They have some General Land Office - County Maps This set of maps was published by the Texas General Land Office and covers the counties of Brazoria, Chambers, Galveston and Harris. These maps contain information on property titles dating back to the 1800's but also covers the bay itself.

Another place to try is the GLO historical programs, contact the Archives & Records Division at 512-463-5277. The Archives Research Room is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM until 6:00 PM (CST).
