Need help - come push me out my door!

Ok, I need someone to come and literally push me out my front door to get to one of these meetings. There is a metal detecting club that meets once a month, the next one is tomorrow, and I want to go and it's just in a nearbye town! But unfortunately, sometimes the shy side of me can take over and I become a bit apprehensive to put myself in an unfamiliar environment, at least by myself. I start saying things like, what if they all have better detectors then me, what if they are all pros, what if they all have cool stories to tell and I don't have one, what if, what if, what if.
What if NOTHING!

I need to just get my butt out my door and attend one, I'd probably have fun!

So, who wants to come over and push me out my door? Well, or at least give me some good advice

Gee, SW Michigan must be a quiet MD place. You posted this some time ago.
