I wish I could remember the name of that style...but my Mom's the Flea Market/Yard Sale/Auction geek.

I believe your platter is flow blue made c. 1844 by an English company called Davenport. They used an anchor for their backmark. The pattern name is Amoy. You are very fortunate to have such a beautiful piece of china!
