This was found inside a bunch of tree roots that went down into the water from an old tree that had died recently. Was looking for flint but my friend came out with this. We're just kinda stumped on what it was whenever it was all together n when it was made. It is stone n not pottery though. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Is that a lead seal arount the top of the bulb? Try running your detector over it.
