I found on beach today. It weighs maybe 50-65 pounds, not magnetic. Do you have any clues? What is it? I apologize for poor picture quality. It's about 4 1/2 feet by 2 1/2 feet.

I am obviously not a computer wiz. Please disregard extra photos. Thanks

Thanks for the welcome! I am obviously a 'newbie'. Trying a hobby that I see others enjoy. This find surely did get me curious as to what type of things have yet to be discovered! I am going to put up a new post with better photos. Thanks for your response.

Just because you don't like helping people doesn't mean you have to get mad about it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for your opinions Ron!
And Jeff, since you asked...it was photos of gas relief for victims of Hurricane Sandy. My husband's helping out, in the blue jacket. As stated before, I am no computer wiz, I loaded wrong pictures. I have learned to title photos now and not leave as'photo 1' Ha!

Now...I need to learn more about metal detecting . . . . Any thoughts for a 'rookie'?

And .. . . So, although it was a great experience for me! It's nothing special? Right?

cool, in my opinion anything you dig up is fun in itself. Anything old is fun even if not valuable. Valuable things are a bonus. It's a link to the past. Someone sometime used that. Where, when?
