Need help with Auto-Notch

I recently purchased a used Discovery 2000 ( BH Lone Star) and have a question about the auto-notch feature. The manual says that in auto-notch you can use the disc. knob to fine tune the notch. Do they mean that it moves the notch window up and down the disc. scale or does that mean it inceases or decreases the size of the window? Anybody got an idea about this? Thanks.

In case someone else was wondering: I found my answer in a tech sheet on the web. The notch window is moved up or down the discrimination scale as the disc. knob is turned. It does not effect the size of the window.
