Need Help With ID. Thanks.

I have found these fossils in almost every place that I have hunted. A friend thought they might be fossilized tree or large plant roots. The strange this is they are all precisely the same size with only the most minute of variations.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

im not sure that they are fossils. if they are...id say they were cephalopods, not plant material.

Nigel, what makes you think this is a fossil? What kind of rock or clay are they coming out of?
