Need some help with Button ID....

Went back to an old home site that has produced some nice CW relics, and found this button. It's coat size, has a rope edge, and had just enough of the back left to make out the letters "TON" Any ideas out there on age and use??

It looks like a Chief Petty Officer button listed in Albert's as NA 131B. Not sure of the age but I think it is post 1941. However, the rank of Chief Petty Officer was established on April 1st, 1893 for the Navy and May 18th, 1920 for the Coast Guard.
