found this little triangle point this morning along with some of the usual scrapers and pottery
i've never found one like it before
i can't figure it out
it seems like a wild design anyhow
anyway i thought it is kinda cool in it's own way, at least it is different than the normal prairie side notch and jaw notched points we find in the dakota's
what do you think?

Almost a perfect equilateral triangle with notches.

Tri-notched arrowheads are pretty rare in the Dakotas. That one could be a "Billings" type. Billings are pretty rare in the Dakotas, they're more common in SW Montana and Wyoming. They are about the same age as Cut Banks and Wa$hitas....

the upward slanting notches are similar to many of the Wa$hita arrowheads that you find..hmmmm... The material and upward-slanting notches leads me to believe that it was made locally rather than brought in by a distant tribe further west...?
