Made it back from the beach in time to do Easter eggs with the kids and sneak out for a late night quick hunt in the woods. Wanted to try new 8.5x11 DD coil at my mossy shoe mansion site. I have hit this site with my stock coil several times and last 2 trips found very little and no coins.

I ran my machine with no discrimination and looked for any high tones mixed with iron, then tried to angle the coil so I could get a double high beep. I wasn't able to achieve this on every one way high tone, and when I dug the one ways I got rusty nails. But the first double high I was able to isolate was a silver GW qtr. Then came the coolest find tonight a very small Stutz lead toy car.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1492320349.951437.jpg

Here are the rest of my finds from tonight.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1492320391.438151.jpg

Happy Easter!

awesome hunt!

Thx! Did a bit of research this morning. Looks like car is from 1920's racing game that included 4 other cars and a spinning wheel. Flat button from 1840-50's.

Late night hunting in the woods? You and I would have fun together mate. Great finds you got there and in the woods at night is extra special. I love night hunting. I have found some of my best finds under cover of darkness. I think the conditions improve at night for some reason. Love that STUTZ.

Congratualtions on the nice finds! :occasion14:

10pm to 11:30 in the dark woods with coyotes howling next to an old stone foundation from the 1800's. Somewhat spooky, but this is sort of the main time slot I have to get away. I was surprised that i eye balled the marble in the dark and never saw it on a day hunt. Also I think my senses are more attuned in the dark, maybe, still a little spooky ...

Another one here for night hunting, I love it. And also get some of my best digs.

It's always neat to see what you missed when you put on a diff coil. Great job
