Here are some more pics. They look to be sawed off and not for hanging over the mantle. I think they took the tines for flaking tools and this is what was left as from the size of whats left of the base.

Those look to be broken, a method called "score and snap" will leave an angled groove around the outside of the antler.

I agree. These pieces of antler appear simply to be broken, not grooved and snapped off. In the latter case, half of the groove is left (as a bevel) on the broken edge of the antler.

These are the 1st tines i have found. Its been a week now and they are turning white from drying. Thanks for the info/comments. I will post some new/dry pics of them with some new finds.
