All I can say is wow! This Minelab GPX5000 is the real deal. Minelab sent me to Northern Virginia this past week to present a awesome GPX 5000 to be raffled for charity. :notworthy: This machine is simply amazing. I met some great people, and saw some old friends. There were 500 people hunting 4,000 acres. It really was alot fun folks. In the 3rd picture down, are my Tnet buddies, Tnrelicman, Tymcmurray, James Bibb and his super cool wife. The last pic is of me about to fall into a hole I dug searching for what turned out to be my NY button DEEP! ;D The "Diggin in Virginia" is a Bi-annual hunt on Civil War camp and battle sites in Northern Virginia. Thank you Gary Schaefer, Rob freeman, Minelab, Coiltek,Jeff Herke Cuffs, Cuffies arm cuffs, and Doc's Place for your sponsorship. :hello2: :hello2:

First off let me say thanks for the great time with you and Randy during the DIV, I had a blast!!! I never thought in a million years I would be saying....man how can I get a GPX, but after that weekend, i'm amazed at its potential, I personally had Mike find a bullet for me so I could get a reading on my MXT with 300 coil, I was discriminating nails only, in relic mode, trigger forward, as I passed my coil over the bullet mike said wasn't that deep....probally 9-10 inches on that one, I got a faint high pitch, nothing on my ID, and couldn't even pinpoint it, that ground was crazy!!!! And I watched Mike hit bullet after bullet after bullet in an area that had been pounded by Tdi's, a guy with a Tdi even came over and asked Mike to find a bullet for him, and he couldn't hear it, don't get me wrong, I'm in no way downing the Tdi guys, they found some great things that where very deep, but I don't think anything can come close to the GPX, I think if Mike had hunted that last field all day he wouldve had more lead than he couldve carried. I think as more people start using the GPX you will see old areas become new again. Great hunt!!!

I agree. It was awesome. And to watch Mike with that GPX was incredible. I can't wait until the next DIV. What a great time to spend with your friends doing something you really enjoy doing.

Nice Digs Mike,
If I dug holes that deep around here looking for stuff I'd need to carry a sludge pump with me to keep the water pumped out. ;D
Take Care,
Pete, :hello:
