Just getting started in metal detecting and treasure hunting in general.

There's a employee in my company that always said after a big storm he would lose money coming to work. He peaked my interest when he brought in some of his finds.I thought about it for a while and decided that I'd give it a shot.

I purchased a Garrett Ace 350 from a local MD store on Friday and was on the beach Friday night!
Of course I had no idea what I was/am doing and didn't find anything of value but my first ever find was a square of AL form a soda can.

Today I found 2 dimes, 4 pennies and a nickel. The oldest was the nickel form 74 and the newest was a penny from 09.

I'm pretty sure I'm hooked on this hobby!

Thanks guys.

I have found some coinage and lots of trash but at least its something to keep my interest.

I need to get a good sand scoop or make one. Most targets here seem to be 8+.
