A friend of mine who knew I was making a trip to the Florida Keys loaned me his metal detector to use. I had never done anything like this before and the idea intrigued me and I was anxious to try my luck.
Unfortunately upon arriving in Key Largo I was advised by state park personnel that I was not allowed to use the metal detector on any state or federal beaches in the keys and I guess I don't know where to go or who to ask about where I could do some hunting.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me while I am here ? I will not necessarily be spending all of my time in Key Largo and plan on traveling further south . . . whenever - I have no plan or schedule.
