Just wanted to introduce my self and say Hi.
I am also new to this hobby.
I just bought a Garrett 150, I know this is probably not the best equipment, but thought it would be a good starting spot.
I was looking for a better product used, but couldn't find any, locally anyways.
Anxious to try it out, but of course now it raining and well next day or two.
Any thoughts or advice would be welcomed.
Thanks,
Lee

Welcome! The 150 is a very good unit to start out with. If you havn't yet you should check out a local detecting club. I belong to the Mid West Artifacts Society in KC and have picked up many good tips from the group. There are several lost treasure sights in and around Topeka so you should have pleanty of opportunities to try out your new toy.
