Anymore, I'd almost rather NOT find clad. It seems like a waste of time digging. It's going to be hard beating that hunt.

Finding 1 of those would be an awesome hunt, but 3... That's off the chart. Congrats on the great hunt. Bet it was hard to sleep.:notworthy:

That's a great hunt. Pm Don in SJ and he will tell you what variety the NJ is. He's keeps a census and is the go to guy for NJ coppers as well as all other coins.

Congratulations on finding three 1700's on one hunt, your site is a good one for sure! Your NJ copper is a 1787 Maris 43-d variety, the most common variety made. It is the 58th reported ground found in my survey, by far the most common of all the varieties.. (My son just found a 43-d about two weeks ago) Please PM me the county found in Pa. I am originally from Berks. Don Maris 43-d New Jersey Copper

Nice finds. Love finding NJ's. It's a bit unusual to find 3 KG III's. More often I see the KG II's. Most of the KG III's I've seen come out of the ground are counterfeits of the period and occasionally a Machin's Mills piece. Shame there isn't a bit more detail. I also agree with Don SJ that the M.43-d is probably the most common NJ variety both coming out of the ground as well as those in collections.
