Great pics! :)

Are you able to detect any place there?

Man, those structures are cool...

I tried detecting there back when I took the photos. I found very little except some modern clad. My guess is that it has been pretty hard hit over the years. I do not get up that way much any more, and it is not high on my list, so I doubt I will return soon.

Sorry fror just jumping in, but history intrigues me.

Interesting NYT article from 1875 with regards to the New Jersey Lunatic Asylum at Morris Plains.

http://query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=9403E7DF1038EE3BBC4950DFB566838E669FDE

Here's another from 1885, that references the Asylum at Trenton opening in 1834...possibly two different places ?

http://query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=940CE4DE1138E033A25754C2A9679C94649FD7CF

Item no. 5 on this site also references the New Jersey Lunatic Asylum with a founding date of 1848.

http://trentonhistory.org/Buildings/TopTen2007.htm

So, either historical references are incorrect and all point to the same place or there is more than one Lunatic Asylum in New Jersey...hmmmm
