New from Albemarle nc, ive been watching videos and reading since last year. So i finally took the plunge and bought a panning kit from carolina prospecting (cause i like to support local). Ive got a 3 different creeks on my property. I got a ridge that i think is the central slate belt, looks like according to the maps that im on the western side of the belt. Ive seen alot of quartz as I get closer to the ridge. Thanks for letting me join, hope u learn a lot.

Welcome to TNet. I am in Mint Hill, just up 24/27. I am into metal detecting for coins. Good luck on the gold prospecting.
