My name is Michael and new to the hobbie. I live in Midlothian Va. and am wondering if there is anyone living around me that would be willing to show me some of the ropes in metal detecting.

Welcome, Blazer (Michael) to treasurenet. My Mom lives in Midlothian,Va. with my Sis so I've been there and will return for a visit in not too distant future > When I do I certainly intend to do some detecting. What detector do you use and where?Maybe I can suggest something useful.

I use a delta 4000 by Teknetics. I like it but I am new to the hobbie. would love to spend time with a more seasoned user. I went to my sons school last outing and if you can believe it two rings. No diamonds but still cool to find one ring never the less two in one day.
