Just got my first detector Teknetics G2 now i need to learn to use it and what new England beaches are open for searching for lost items ,any good spots for a old retired guy

The G2 is a gold nugget machine, and it is going to give you fits in the wet saltwater sand. It should be a GREAT machine in the dry sand though. Be sure and get a good sandscoop!

Welcome! My parents were from Fitchburg! Wonder if you can detect in that old Whalom pond where the amusement park used to be? I always wanted to go water detect under the rope swing at Stodge Meadow pond. Many fun vacations in Fitchburg when I was a kid.
